Having made easel cards when we were crafting on Bute, Jeanette led us through making them with a Cuttlebugged border cut from around the easel part to lie flat over the base, which was new to us. We didn't actually complete any card as we got diverted by cutting out shapes from the Cricut machine! What's that you're saying about our attention span as we are getting older?
Anyway, using the Cricut, Ann and Jeanette had fun working out how to cut the different layers of a red vintage coupe with black tyres and silver radiator - but how fiddly to glue all the little parts on. My tiny "choo-choo" set was cut out in red and green, plus various word greetings for my list of cards-coming-up. Jeanette was entranced by a duo-tone butterfly. Little flower shapes and stars were Cuttlebugged for extra pizzazz. The evening was rounded-off by trying out a Martha lacy heart punch border which would be suitable for a lot of different projects.
Taking advantage of the fact that Ruth is on holiday, we nominated her house for the next craft meeting! LOL The project is still to be decided...
