A Busy October

Posted by CraftyWhippet
Hi Everyone,

Well it's that time of year again when I have to finally admit that it is getting colder and flip flops and bare feet are not an option anymore in Britain.
It has been a busy time since I last blogged. In August my husband became redundant and I have been adapting to my new life while maintaining all my outside activities.

I have been busy with card orders which have had to take priority and the weeks have just disappeared.
However I have been following all that has been going on and it has been great to have so many encouraging comments. I laughed so much MaryNSC with your "go get whippet" - Whippet is sometimes known as Mrs Never In, so she takes a bit of catching.
Tomorrow Alice/Blog Hopper/Fiskateer is arriving so we can film some more videos for YAWL.
Is the camera on or off, or will this be yet another outtake???
I have a little pressie for Alice that she might get tomorrow...if she behaves herself.
I hope you continue to enjoy the other demos until then.

Happy crafting

Redundant husband--new life? Does that mean separation/divorce? If that is the case, my heart goes out to you. I've been thru that twice. :( But--for me--turned out to be the best thing. I've been alone, by choice, since 1993 and these have been the best years of my life. ;)

Being creative is always good for the soul. Have fun! Keep smiling! Things always work out for the best when your heart is in the right place. *hugs* :):)

Redundant husband meant he has no job to go to now and life curtailed somewhat. He is at home under my feet and I am sure you will understand that is not easy to adapt to after 39 years.
I am glad that since 1993 you have been happy - craft is a big help for many people.
Thank you for your supportive comments. I know who to turn to if things change.
God Bless

Ahhh--retirement! That's a whole new animal! Also a huge change, but in a completely different way--hehe!
(Sometimes the first time divorce IS thought of--ROFL!!)

Big adjustment not going to work. (Was for me, too.) He probably needs some creative hobby or something to do. I remember my dad took up golf (of all things), playing cards, bowling, and amateur photography. (He'll be 90 in November.)

Glad to hear you guys are still going strong! Whew! That's a relief. :):)

Yes a huge change takes place and I can now understand why people divorce after a long time. You are so right about hobbies but he has many..... The remote control of the TV, computer games sinking submarines, or shooting down planes or knowing all the words of every Poirot, and Miss Marple that has ever been written, and best of all he should be in the Guiness book of records for the number of times he yawns. Generally a full and non active life. LOL
