Peace on the Isle of Bute?

Posted by Unknown

Oh, I have had an interesting week on Bute...a peaceful isle, where the pace of life is slow and everyone knows everyone...well, not quite quiet.  Ann, her Mum and I were heading for a pleasant evening when the stationary car was crunched from the rear! What a shock! - requiring a visit to the Police Station, then the local hospital where we were kindly treated.  Next day brought another visit to the hospital as we this time transported her Stepfather, who was bleeding profusely after a minor op at the Health Centre.  So I settled down again in the waiting room and started the crossword puzzle...then the fire alarm went off...we joined some staff members outside in the cold...two fire tenders arrived, blue lights flashing...a false alarm! Back home for a short while only, yes, you've guessed it, we had to return to the hospital again with the bleeding continuing unabated.  Ah, my crossword, nearly completed, awaiting me.

You ask, was there any crafting done? No, sorry to say, but in lieu here's some work done by the locals:

Ruth was in Gran Canaria at this time, where all did not go peacefully either, with some unseasonal weather and upset tummies. No doubt she will want to pen a Blog Post, if only her computer works!

There's snow here in Scotland, dreaming of a White Christmas? I'd rather not.  My crafting activity is now making felt tartan brooches, suitable for celebrating New Year in, again, Bute.

I do hope all is calm, all is bright with you folks...
