The second in our Scottish Tartan Cards videos: Christmas Gatefold is now posted – I need to ‘finish’ the card with some border punching - card production needs to step up as we’re getting closer to C-day!
I’m really into the bling of holographic card, bought at the Hobbycrafts fair – it catches the light beautifully – so works well on a Stepper card - a Christmas Ribbon Tree strip fitted on one of the steps.
The two Martha Stewart punches are really sturdy and cut easily through card, making nice borders, one lacy, one hearts; the bling card has been cuttlebugged with snow dots.
The Stampin’ Up window punch that I bought to make penny roller cards is coming in useful for making greetings banners: I just print a page of differently-coloured greetings on the computer (using Publisher, CreateaCard or whatever desktop publishing /card-making program you use) then punch them out, backing them onto contrasting card.
We’ve also been reading Everyone Needs a Hougie ideas book and finding new ways to use the board, including steppers of assorted sizes.

As usual, love your video! Yes--Christmas is coming fast for us crafters. Leah and I are working to finish ours. Been a delay on my end. I overdid it and put my bum arm out for a week or so here. (I do know better--hehe!) Should be able to use it again soon here.
Martha Stewart has some of the most beautiful punches! Have fun, ladies! Love seeing your Christmas card ideas. :)
